Welcome to the Red Balloon Early Childhood Learning Center located in Morningside Heights in New York City.  Founded in 1972, the Center provides a year-round, full-day program that caters to the needs of the working and student families on the Upper West Side.

Our children range in age from 2 years old to 5 years old.  We have three classrooms:

Yellow Room: 2 years old (up to 11 children)
Blue Room: 3 years old (up to 16 children)
Orange Room: 4 years old (up to 20 children)

Each classroom has 3 staff members including a State Certified Head Teacher with a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Our doors open at 8:00am and close at 6:00 pm.  The children can arrive as late as 9:30 and are picked up from 4:00 on.  We provide breakfast between 9:00-9:30, a hot nutritious lunch, and an afternoon snack. The vast majority of our children participate in our full-time program.  We have a limited two day and three day program, both full days.
